TheTeatro La Latinais at Plaza de la Cebada 2, right in the heart of La Latina. Of ÔVEN’s nine restaurants, the closest isÔVEN Preciados: about 1.2 kilometres, a fifteen-minute uphill walk towards Sol. It is not next door, so it is worth explaining properly.

Teatro La Latina and its neighbourhood

It is one of Madrid’s longest-established comedy theatres, with more than a thousand seats, in the neighbourhood with the city’s highest concentration of taverns. That has a practical consequence:there is no shortage of tapas around the theatre, but fewer sit-down dining options. If you want to sit down to dinner with a menu in front of you, you usually end up heading uphill towards Sol.

La Latina performances usually start at 20:00 on weekdays, with two shows at weekends, one at 18:00 and another at 21:00 or 22:00. The early Saturday show is best for an unhurried dinner afterwards.

Getting there from ÔVEN Preciados

From Plaza de la Cebada, head up Cava Baja or Calle Toledo to Plaza Mayor, then continue to Sol and Preciados. It is uphill almost all the way, so allow plenty of time.
