TheTeatro Calderónis at Calle de Atocha 18, just beside Plaza de Jacinto Benavente. The nearest ÔVEN isÔVEN Prado, at Calle del Prado 25: around 450 metres, a six-minute walk through the Literary Quarter. It is the best restaurant-and-theatre pairing in the centre.
Calderón is one of Madrid’s largest theatres and often hosts long-running musicals. Evening shows start around 20:00 or 20:30 and run until 22:30 or 23:00, including an interval.
Its practical advantage is the location: on the edge of the Literary Quarter, the central area with more restaurants and fewer nightclubs.Eating before or after a show here does not mean crossing half the city, which is unusual in Madrid.
From the theatre entrance, enter the Literary Quarter via Atocha or Plaza de Jacinto Benavente and head up to Calle del Prado. The route follows pedestrian areas or narrow streets throughout.
